Gannon Training Ctr Open House

On Thursday, June 27, there will be an Open House at the K9 Sergeant Sean M. Gannon Training Facility behind the Yarmouth Police Headquarters from 2:00 to 4:00 PM.

This facility is now being used for training by police departments across the Cape and regional, local and federal, law enforcement agencies.

The Yarmouth Police Foundation will be selling apparel items and collecting donations to fund the the final phase of the facility, which includes a shooting range.

The Yarmouth Neighborhood Crime Watch team will be there with information on how to join and build and maintain stronger neighborhoods in Yarmouth.

Come take a tour and learn more about the facility!

Block Captain Cookout

Block Captains are invited to a cookout to be held at the Gannon Training Facility on Thursday June 27 at 12:00 PM. Come meet your fellow block captains and tour the facility. Burgers, hot dogs and drinks will be provided. The Yarmouth Police Foundation will be there with items for sale including the new Finley stuffed dog. There will be a public open house at the facility from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, please invite your block to attend and learn about the training facility that is being used by local, state and federal law enforcement agencies.

Neighborhood Crime Watch Meeting October 20, 2023

Join us on Friday October 20, 2023 at the Yarmouth Senior Center (528 Forrest Road) at 2:00 PM.

Our guest speaker is Cape and the Islands District Attorney Robert Galibois. We are all familiar with role of YPD protecting and aiding the community. However, the other half of the judicial system is the DA’s office which decides the charges and prosecutes the case in court. Hear an update from DA Galibois since his election last fall.

The meeting is open to all Yarmouth Residents. Even if you are not currently a crime watch member, come learn more about the program and how to join.

Neighborhood Crime Watch Meeting May 18, 2023

Join us on Thursday May 18, 2023 at the Yarmouth Senior Center (528 Forrest Road) at 2:00 PM.

We will review some changes to Crime Watch which will provide a way to join even if we don’t have a block captain in your area. Following that Yarmouth Police Chief Kevin Lennon will give an update on what is happening at YPD since he became Chief last fall. We are trying an afternoon meeting for this event, light refreshments will be served.

The meeting is open to all Yarmouth Residents. Even if you are not currently a crime watch member, come learn more about the program and how to join.

Neighborhood Crime Watch Meeting Oct 6, 2022

Join us for our semi-annual Neighborhood Crime Watch meeting on Thursday October 6, 2022 at the Yarmouth Senior Center. Sign-in starts at 6:30 PM and the meeting Starts at 7:00 PM. This is our last NCW meeting with Chief Frederickson before he retires at the end of the month. Come help us wish him well in his retirement. This meeting is open to all Yarmouth residents.

NCW Meeting October 20 at 7:00 PM

Join us for our fall Neighborhood Crime Watch meeting at the Yarmouth Senior Center on Wednesday October 20, 2021. Deputy Chief Lennon will give a YPD update and YPD Detectives will give a presentation on crime trends and tips on how to keep yourself and family from being victimized by scams and identity theft.

Doors open at 6:30PM, meeting starts at 7:00 PM. Chairs will be separated, masks are recommended.
